About our Clinical Internship Program
TTPP offers a Transgender and Non-Binary Care Training Program for aspiring clinicians in California. This program is entirely remote and designed to provide comprehensive training in TGI-affirmative therapy.
We are currently accepting trainees, AMFTs, and LCSWs into our 45-week program, with a preference for individuals who envision a long-term commitment to serving the Trans and Non-Binary community. The program spans one year, with the possibility of extension post-graduation.
Prospective clinicians are expected to be eligible to practice in California at the start of their employment. Additionally, they must adhere to all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996 regulations and related state confidentiality requirements.
Accepted applicants will receive extensive training in Transgender and Non-Binary Care Therapy. Please note that training certification is mandatory for all interns before they engage with clients. Clinicians will develop their individual counseling skills, primarily working with clients and receiving supervision via telehealth. For those residing in the Coachella Valley and Los Angeles region, there is an opportunity to participate in our in-person outreach program, which offers "curbside" therapy and connects individuals to ongoing mental health care and social services.
